Sky Blue Damask : Commonplace Book
Sky Blue Damask Commonplace Book
This is a book for the quiet observer who isn't afraid of a little wear. It’s a one-of-a-kind piece that is a bit frayed, a bit worn, and entirely honest. It’s a tactile tool that feels like it’s already traveled a few miles before it even reached your hands.
The Wrap: Reclaimed Cornflower blue damask with a subtle, woven relief. The edges are left raw and frayed, giving it a weathered, "found" character that avoids being precious.
The Accents: Three pail blue and bone-colored micro-floral Cotton book "tape", sewn into the binding process and secured to the front and back covers with bold, blood-red slow-stitched Xs, providing a utilitarian contrast to the soft blue weave.
The Binding: Hand-sewn with thick, dark waxed linen thread using an exposed French link stitch. It lays flat, designed for heavy use without the fight of a stiff spine.
The Guts: 96 sheets/192 pages of medium-heavy paper. Every sheet has been hand-torn for those rough, deckled edges and dipped in Coffee and Black Tea.
5.5 x 8.5 inches
192 unlined, lightly stained pages
